Montreal Garden

The design of this garden references Japanese landscape design in its use of water, plants, and rock to create a serene environment. A cedar trellis fence bounds the garden providing privacy from the dense Montreal urban environment. A small pool of water clad in blue slate anchors the corner of the garden and a long bench stretches from the middle of the garden to the entry area. It sits in front of a curving pine tree. Cast concrete steps anchor the staircase rising up to a second level deck that links to the residence's kitchen. Another series of sculptural concrete steps lead from the driveway to the garden.
